Concerning the
15 Hour Advanced Training Course
for those providers licensed prior to May 2007:
As of Nov. 16, 2010 - due to the fact that the
curriculum is not yet developed, the deadline to complete this course has been
postponed until further notice from the Division of Child Care,
(official statement linked here)
In other words, the Dec. 31, 2011 course completion
deadline is no longer in effect. However, progress on the curriculum is being
made. Training will be given in five 3 hour workshops by Level 2 trainers. More information will
be listed here as it becomes available. PPRFCCA is planning to host this
training.

When a provider renews their
Universal Precautions and
Medication Administration classes, those hours can be
counted in their yearly re-licensing credit hour totals. This is only the case if the provider has already
taken these classes when they initially earned their license. CPR and
First Aid class hours, initial or renewed, cannot be
counted in yearly re-licensing credit hour totals.
